No I didn't do anything fancy at all except for one minor thing.
My ResMed VPAP data...I no longer had the machine or the SD card...so I had copied the SD card contents to a folder on my desktop and I used that folder for importing the Resmed part of the data.
You can go get the PR S1 card right now and put it in to import. No need to change anything because the directory for the SD import is the same. So I used 2 SD (one for the APAP I had already and one for the BiPap info) cards and the one ResMed folder to import into one user name. SleepyHead will simply put the PR S1 data in and show it available prior to the current ResMed data.
Remember though...ResMed only saves hi def data for 7 days before it starts rolling over the oldest.
Come to think of it...that might be a reason to keep the old SleepyHead.. but generally hi def data is not something that critical unless you are using a microscope.
Sort of like my loss of detailed data from last summer..I still have my basic information and I rarely want to go back to old details.

I'm guessing there is no way to import the ResMed "Patient File" as opposed to the card data.
Can someone elaborate on how to do this?
jedimark wrote:The good news is you can run the old version concurrently to copy over any data.
Hmmm, I adjusted some preferences, got a warning that it would have to recalculate, and since I didn't know which change required this, I told it to go ahead.
Now it is "recalculating summaries" but the status bar is still on 0% after several minutes.
I shut it down and restarted and left the preferences alone.

PR System One machine users have it so easy. All data is stored on the SD card and detail data is not written over like the ResMed machines do with Hi Def data.
All your old PR S1 data is still on your SD card and all you do is import as you normally would do for a new night. Might take a wee bit longer the first time if there are many nights on the SD card.
ResMed users have their own problem with the 7 day max storage on the SD card of hi def data.. but Mark has it fixed now that with the new beta version a back up is made available and hi def data won't be lost if someone has to reinstall SH or there happens to be a major revision later that means removing the current app folder under documents.

I forgot about the ResMed 7 day detail Hi Def data thing. Have you been making weekly separate backups of the SD card for the ResMed machine? If you have...you can import that data by going to where that folder is. If not...I would keep the old version of SleepyHead if the older Hi Def data is important to you.
I don't remember exactly what constitutes Hi Def data in the ResMed reports though. Someone else would have to explain what gets lost when the files are overwritten by new hi def.

Ugh, so I did that, I imported the SD card from the PR, it stopped at 97%, pop up," Different Machine Detected, Has overlapping data, new data will override data from old machine,do you want to do this, Yes/No". Yes was highlighted so I clicked Yes, then came "Import Error, Machine record cannot be imported in this profile. The Day records overlap with already existing content". Maybe I have to wait until I use the PR again and have new data to import. Hopefully Mark will read this and be able to tell what's wrong.

Ahh man, if there is going to be a problem Murphy's law says you will be hit with it.
Didn't we have a similar problem with same overlap message not too long ago?
There is a time(night) where there is data from 2 different machines and both can't fit in the time slot.
You would need to explore the SD card and find the offending night's file and remove it.
Other option...create a new user for the Respironics data. Not a horrible option. Use one person for ResMed and another person for Respironics machine. I had to do that with Encore Pro. It wouldn't let me merge the APAP and the BiPap

Well it worked in real time, and I got it to sync and start serial download. Then I said WHOOOPEE too soon because this is what I've been waiting for.
Sleepyhead stopped at 13% of download and closed. I tried it again with the same results and the error message popped up right after the cms50F finished. A different transfer rate maybe??? I'm just guessing... The 50F uses version 3.5.
Haven't tried to inport .SPOR files yet.

I had this problem when I switched to a new machine and the DME turned it on at 830am to check it. The data was meaningless, so I threw it away. I copy the daily files to My Documents\P-Series folder. I don't read it from the SDCard via the computer. Not the preferred method. But I create my own backup that way.

Great job Mark!
Congratulations on officially reaching the beta stage.
I just installed 0.9.1 and it imported all my Intellipap data from the card, even though I format each day. I then succeded in importing my O2 data from the *SpoR files. Worked like a charm with my CMS-50D+. The only problem I had is that the O2 data is recorded for today, while the CPAP data for today is recorded for yesterday, even though the CPAP session started after midnight, so actually today... But I just have to remember to highlight the CPAP data 1 day ahead of where I want the *SpoR data to go. Syncing by inputing the start time for the CPAP session worked very well.
I have a feeling that direct serial import will not be affected by this, it wasn't in 0.8.8, I'll check tomorrow.

At some point, it would be good to create an icon to show up for links on the desktop or start menu on Windoze. Now, it shows a generic icon. I think there are two different icons to create, a large and small one.
The change to the new version was almost boring. No drama, etc. Good job.

No reason to unless you've got journal notes and weight data you want to keep..
To remove the old version, just delete the program folder you downloaded, and SleepApp folder in "My Documents"

Humm ... Except for the last night data ... All previous nights are reporting double AHI with 0.9.1 when comapred w/ version 0.8.8.
Anybody else seeing this? Am i doing something wrong? I did a direct import from the SD card to verion 0.9.1
Here is a side by side comparison picture ...

I have never even seen ResMed apart from screenshots.. I have not idea what the "Patient File" is..
Damn.. Try turning multithreading and cache session data off..
Reindexing is fairly complicated process, but the idea was it's supposed to be quicker than reimporting..
