The decibel reading taken by the AEIOMED folks was at the ears. The reading they got was 37; seems about right, to me.

I agree that what is perceived as noise to some is essential sound to others; it is just a matter of adapting to the "noise" around us....still, don't think I could ever sleep with the TV on in the background...oh well.

I think the Activa is a very comfortable interface but the Aura is better. For the comfort, I use the Aura as my primary interface even with the extra noise.
I agree with Jim...it's exactly the same for me using those masks.

The "Headrest" (Aura) is soooooo comfortable that the shuuuush sound during each inhalation is something I didn't mind getting used to. I love the way the Aura's exhaust doesn't hit anything no matter what sleeping position.

Found my decibel meter but it does not register below 50 Db.
