I agree with this....so you might tell your husband it's better to catch it early and treat it than wait until sleep apnea has already done its damage. My father is 73 and found out last year that he has OSA. I suggested he be tested for it (since I have it...and it runs in families) after he announced he had heart problems. He also has glaucoma which I recently read on this forum can be caused to some degree by OSA. My dad's mother had a stroke....which I strongly believe came because she had undiagnosed sleep apnea. SO! Again....tell your husband this is serious and real.....and best to get it under control BEFORE it does harm that cannot be fixed. (Archangle...I'm begging you to change your avatar. Disturbing! And I like your posts...I just skip most of them now because of that puppy in the tortilla)archangle wrote:....As for apnea, the important thing is apnea kills.
Sometimes slowly and silently. Like boiling a frog.
Sometimes slowly and painfully. Like the death of a thousand cuts.
Sometimes suddenly by stroke or heart attack.
Even worse, sometimes it doesn't kill, it just wears you away to nothing.
