Snide comments about Government workers have been around for decades. But you know what group of employees are just as bad, or worse? Railroad workers. And they work for private enterprises (except Amtrak) which are owned by some of the smartest investors in the country.

Surprised
idamtnboy, that you would admit that government workers are bad.
Actually I have no complaints about government workers. It's the system they work under and the regulators that created the system that my complaints are reserved for. And the statist voters who elected them.

There's difference between "admit" and "go along with"! But you are so right, it's the system they work under that constrains employees. One of my fellow workers made a comment one time that I found quite enlightening about why the bureaucracy is the way it is. "It's not the business of Government to be efficient. It's the business of Government to be fair." In contracting for example, it's the policy to distribute contracts as much as possible among all companies. This often means the price is not the lowest as a large corporation would do it cheaper.

Yep, Ronald in the bottom right corner running away.
But, I do NOT see any cops coming out of the donut shop to chase him!
I didn't know Ronald was an arsonist.

I was afraid to post that because I was afraid you would hunt me down.
But, I have been to Dallas & Frisco a couple of times & I have not run into you yet - so I took a chance.
How far away are you from either of those?

In 2004, astronomers discovered a star made entirely of diamonds. The crystallized white dwarf measures over 2,400 miles across and is composed of 10 billion trillion trillion carats. Unfortunately for treasure hunters, though, it is also 50 light years from Earth.
