That waist band thingy is not really new.......if you look up some of Rosters posts you will see that he devised a small fannypack stuffed with something to keep him off his back . Cheap and handi stuff he had a home.

I think a back pack would be preferable to a chest strap.
I would freak out with something tight around my chest.

Nan... I'm sure you are correct. I was reading some of the white papers that they had as well as some independent trials that used it, and it looks like the one thing they say that is unique to it is the wedge shape of the pad. I guess it helps prevent the user from rolling onto his/her back vs a rounded lump that one might get with a backback. I'm sure there are hundred's of devices similar to this, but just thought I would pass it along to anyone who might be interested.

Okay, since Archangle is not here, I'll try to fill in. What if a tornado ripped off your roof? What if a mail plane with a hook flew over at that time and hooked your bungee cord? What if you were pulled up in the air with your mask still strapped to your face and your cpap flying through the air a few feet below you, just flapping around, changing pressures to adjust for the altitude? What if your bungee cord broke and you fell from the sky? Don't you think your cpap machine would be broken? And then, with no therapy, where would you be? All you new cpapers take note of all these dangers and act accordingly.

RottyJohn, you've got a lot of experience with leashes. So what you've done doesn't surprise me.

That's pretty creative thinking... fastening the leash the other way around...thankfully to your wrist rather than your neck.
If the leash fits, wear it.

Well, let's just hope a catastrophic event doesn't happen because it would be more confusing than an episode of CSI trying to determine if the storm was hiding a crime. I mean, think about it - hand tied to the bed, mouth taped, pantyhose tights wrapped and tied around the head... Had that same thought recently when I had a nosebleed and the blood passing through exhale holes under pressure left quite an unusual spray pattern. The things we do to help get a good night's sleep!

Just a thought: Placing a body pillow behind you. I could never do the wrist thing.
