DoriC, you haven't aged a bit! You are looking exactly the same as I remember you.
Jaylee is doing fabulously well these days. Maybe I shouldn't blab, but she has a new boyfriend, a freakishly tall southern gentleman and those two are head over heels. I predict an early elopement. I'll see if I can convince her to make an appearance.

The same's true of you, BC, and what's more, you're still working on the same chess problem
Seriously, I'm glad to hear from you again!

And Hello to you, Miss Gal.
Ooooh, I've got an idea. If mine own data is to be sniffed at, on account of I'm a known liar and jackass, maybe you two could give it a go. A real live Doktor, and the unimpeachable veracity of rested gal. Come on, it's for *science*.

What on earth are you doing Dr. Cloudy? Telling all of my secrets.
He is right though, happily in love with my very own gigantically tall and charming man.

Dr. Park went on to talk about why breathing through the nose is better than breathing through the mouth before he moved on to the next question.
And???? What did he say?

After he said, "
and that's a great idea to put a tab on one end." which finished his answer to my specific question, he went on to talk about someone else (Patrick) who doesn't use CPAP, but instead puts tape over his mouth simply to prevent mouth breathing while sleeping. Here's what Dr. Park said about that...
"
Actually, Patrick, again from last month's interview, does it himself. He actually...he doesn't...I don't think he uses CPAP, but he does put tape over his mouth when he sleeps at night, and it helps him to sleep much better.
The reason why breathing through your nose is so important is that when you open your mouth and you're breathing, while you're sleeping, the tongue anatomically rotates backwards. So, when you close your mouth, somehow it anatomically pulls the tongue muscles forward and makes it a little bit more taut. So, this is why in general, when you close your mouth, you tend to snore less.
Now, in general this can help many people [unclear word - sounded like 'not' ?] to various degrees, but it's not going to cure everyone 100% of their sleep apnea. So, it can definitely help some people with snoring, it can definitely help some people with sleep apnea, but without doing formal sleep studies before and after, you sleep with your mouth open and mouth closed, it's hard to know exactly to what degree, to what degree, it's helped with sleep apnea. So, you really have to have some objective measures whenever you do these kind of experiments on your own."
Then he went on to the next question.
As for Dr. Park's reasons why breathing through the nose is healthier in general than breathing through the mouth, there's a free PDF download at his site with that kind of information:

I ordered the MP3 audio recording of Dr. Park's November 8 interview. .
Thanks for buying the recording and sharing some of it's contents with us. I have to admit when I saw he was charging $17 for it I lost interest in a hurry (and also revised my opinion of Dr Park somewhat).

A person who had already registered (free) for the teleseminar can listen (free) to the teleseminar as it happens. During a 48 hour time period after the teleseminar is over, the person who had registered (free) has the option of ordering an MP3 recording of the entire teleseminar (whether or not he/she had signed in to listen to it "live") for $5.00.
It's when you've not registered (free) in the first place for the teleseminar, or (if registered) have waited longer than 48 hours afterwards before ordering it, that it would be $17 to get the recording.
I signed up in advance but was not at home to listen in, so I ordered the MP3. Funny thing was... in my eagerness to order it afterwards, I clicked the wrong teleseminar to download -- got an old one I didn't need or want. I contacted Dr. Park via his website "contact us" about my mistake. He made it more than right immediately (offered a full refund or several free downloads in the future -- my choice) and sent me a link to download the one I actually wanted. Couldn't be more pleased with the way he handled it, even though it was my mistake when I hastily ordered an MP3 for the wrong teleseminar.
Since he does the teleseminars "live" for free, I have no problem with his charging afterwards IF a person wants a recording of it later. Yeah, $17 is steep, but he does offer many things free on his website. And it would be just $5 for a person who had signed up (free) and chose to order a recording within 48 hours afterwards.

I agree. That's not as bad as $17. I still appreciate you going to the trouble and spending the money to do it.
