That's why police, firemen, the military, even baseball & football players practice and train until things become 2nd nature.
And after that training and practice, they can make an arrest, capture the enemy, pitch a no-hitter, and kick a field goal in their sleep? Really! Really!
If, in 1911, I told the 1911 scientific world that a man could take a small object, no bigger than an orange, let it be fired at his body at 140 mph; that this man could deflect this object by violently hitting it with an object resembling a banjo, and that the deflected object would move through the air at 90 mph, and land 70 feet away, on a painted corner no bigger than a deck of playing cards; that this man could pretty much repeat this "impossible" stunt under the most intense and pressurized situations imaginable, do you think that this 1911 scientific world—just a fraction of a cosmic second older than Right Now scientific world, do you think 1911 "they" would think it even remotely possible . . . or that I am mad, and I dream the impossible dream?

Do you believe "they"—in their wildest dreams—could conceive of this shy, unassuming man?

Don't be too hard on him. Once, he dreamed with his eyes wide shut, and saw an ELE.

I just looked at the slides. He suggests taping the mouth shut at night to force breathing through the nose. I do wonder if I could train myself to do the Buteyko breathing even while sleeping. My main concern would be, though, that even if I could control the swollen nasal passages from mild allergies, I still have a narrow nose and deviated septum. Between that and the mouth taped shut, I think it could be a recipe for nightmares and awakening during the night in panic attacks.
