Missed these last few posts for some reason.... Oh yes, I realize that. I will know more on that later - I hope. I guess my thinking is it would not benefit me as much. I did raise my home computer for a bit to try standing, and it was very hard to type.

Just more updates. Finish my sleep study test and waiting to see my SD on the results. But I already know the results of the test. It showed severe daytime sleepiness, so much so the RN told me to be careful driving until I talk to the doctor and see what he has to say about the test. I pretty much passed out when my head hit the pillow... The RN said I was the first person she had seen that was this severe, that most people by mid afternoon were more awake, I was completely opposite, the longer the day went the faster I went to sleep. And I realize that is not the complete test, other things they monitor about how deep of a sleep, ect.

Well I got the results back and it looks like I fell asleep in less than 1.9 minutes. So Doc said that was a borderline narcolepsy level, however I have no symptoms. This week i started on Ritalin and it seems to work, keeps me awake as well and can concentrate (somewhat) without the side effects I had with provigil.

Now, I have also went to a NS and will be having surgery soon to fuse my C4-C6. While these are two unrelated situations, by having the surgery I should get rid of the headaches and neck pain allowing me to concentrate more during the day. That and hopefully being free of pain med's may help my daytime sleepiness and concentration.

And yes, the surgery is the last result. After 10-12 years of pain, this NS thinks bone spurs are causing my sever pain and it's time to fix that.

So.... in 6 weeks maybe we will know the outcome.
