Unfortunately my decrease in my mood stabilizer (geodon 80 mg) has not continued the positive effect on my AHI (if it was even due to the decrease). The positive is a decrease in my EDS.
I thank John for posting this research which I had never been able to find. My psychiatrist is totally in the dark as to the connection with SSRI's and OSA/sleep arcitecture.

I will need to reread and study this research to get a clearer picture of what may be happening. Unfortunately I am on so many meds to separate each individual effect on sleep would be hard. I'm sure their are some counter effects going on.

I probably have had sleep apnea for years, but I think it was all exacerbated when I started taking Cymbalta at the beginning of the year.
Everything became worse - became constantly tired, wanting to nap all the time, nodding off at work, almost fell asleep at a stop light, no energy to work out.
luckily I was able to come off of it a couple months ago after finally getting moderate complex diagnosis and getting machine in June.
I also have been taking Wellbutrin for years, but I don't really think it had been doing anything....
