Woke up in the middle of the night and went to the kitchen sink and I stepped in water. I looked in the cupboard where I had 5gallons of distilled water stored and discovered 3 of the 5 were about half empty. Mind you these were full and brand new when I put them in the cupboard about 5 months ago, I bough about 8 gallons at once so I would have enough and take them out as needed. Very disappointed to find them linking even though they were not “expired”

I buy five gallon jugs of distilled water at a time. With my wife and I both using machines at rather high pressure, the five gallons last us about a month and a half. I have never had a jug develop a leak so far.

The water jugs sold by stores are flimsy, and overly prone to cracks.
I save the one gallon Arizona tea jugs, and they are substantial for many uses.
Some are over 3 years old.
Not that crazy about Arizona tea--too sweet, but they have nice jugs.
The bullfrog and I use a countertop distiller--the electricity runs under 20 cents a gallon.
I have room for up to 5 jugs in the bedroom.
More, if I organized the closet . . .
