WOW! thank you for all your responses! It's seems as if the humidifier is THE way to go! I'll get it set up tonight and give it a go! Thank you soo much for all the advice! It's great to be able to hear from soo many who have been where I'm starting! Hopefully one day, I'll be able to return the favor to another newbie! LOL

I use my humidifier set to 5 and a separate room humidifier because I use the Oracle 2 oral mask which can really dry out my mouth.

I also use the white ultrafine filter at the back of the machine together with the gray pollen filter that is supplied.
I also use an in-line bacterial filter that goes between the mask and the hose. This seems to be the same material as the ultrafine one and catches anything that slips by. The back-of-the-machine filters don't provide a perfect seal so there is always some bypass. That combination removes everything and gives me really clean air.

I believe those are intended to go between the hose and the machine.

I don't believe they're intended for extended use. They're intended for use on machines that get used by more than one patient. I think I read somewhere that they're only supposed to be used for a few days at one time. This is a little different from the filter in the back of the machine because it will be moist from the humidified air.
