I picked up my S9 VPAP Adapt ASV from the DME today.

My settings are:
EEP 10
PS Min 3
PS Max 15
Backup Rate 15 (automatic)

I will give it a try tonight and see how it goes.

My low NADAR for the sleep study was 50% with 15.1 Minutes below 85%. It was corrected by the end of the night with the right titration on ASV. I guess I will see.

Last night I woke several times to get a drink due to mouth leaks. I started the night without my chin strap but put it on about 1am.

AHI was 2.1. So apart from the leak issue I think last night was a success.

Here is the statistical data.

Wooohoooo!

Hope that wasn't just a fluke. Congratulations!

Still working with my mask leaks.

I tried to use a Mirage FX Nasal mask and it kept blowing my mouth open even with the chin strap. When my pressure would jump to 25 the expansion of the Nasal Mask would be noticed and bother me.

I tried the Quatro FX FFM but the leaks in my eyes would wake me when the pressure would jump high. With the pressure at about 15 I was OK but the high pressure was too much for the mask.

I tried the ComfortGel FFM but it hurt my nose when tightened enough to stop the leaks. Last night about 11PM I took it off and felt like my nose was raw.

In desperation I tried my nasal pillows that I started with on cpap and lower regular pressure but thought it would not work with my higher pressure.

It was a success. I put on my chinstrap and cranked it down hoping my mouth would stay shut. I slept for almost six hours without waking. My leak rate averaged about 6 l/m and jumped to about 25 for a few minutes when my pressure would rise. I can sleep better with it and was really surprised that it never leaked at my nose. the only leak came from my mouth.

My AHI has been 0.0 for three nights. I checked my O2 saturation last night and it did not drop but averaged 98%.

I will give this a while and see if there is any reason I can't use the nasal pillows. The pressure rise is not as noticeable as having a mask move on my face with an increase.
