I called my sleep center and asked about getting a new machine, they fwd'd me to the DME with a specific number, I am already going to be on vacation tomorrow so I didn't have time to call the DME before I left... I'll call when I get back. What is the point of the SD card I have on the 150 if it doesn't log anything?

It will log hours of use.
Might be necessary to satisfy insurance requirements.
If you were an over the road truck driver under DOT regulations it is enough to document hours of use to keep DOT happy.
They don't care if therapy was sub optimal. They only care that the machine was used for so many hours over so and so time period.

Fight them - unless they are the only DME your insurance company will deal with, threaten them with going to another DME or tell them they can have their brick back and you'll just buy your own masks, accessories, and machine yourself (even if you can't afford it, threaten it), and they can lose all that money since being on a machine is typically a lifelong thing. But try it politely first.

I just recently (received my machine 4 days ago!!) fought for a week and a half for my DME to take back the DS150 they sold me even after the doctor sent in a prescription for the DS450!! Kept asking me WHY I felt I needed one and I kept telling them the same answer that I wanted to be proactive with my health since sleep apnea can be life threatening and with insurance companies only paying for titration tests once a year, that's not good enough and that my doctor agreed with me, hence he sent the prescription. That's the second thing you can do - have your doctor fax in or mail in (however he/she does it) with the machine Respironics PR System One DS450 CPAP machine for reason of monitoring AHI and any breathing disruptions (if they are agreeable to that - mine was) and they cannot deny you the new machine. They can give you a hassle about it for a bit but legally since the doctor prescribed it, they HAVE to, by law, give you the machine prescribed.

DS750 is the "PR System One REMstar BiPAP Auto with Bi-Flex." If that's the one you have, I believe it does very good data collection. It's a Bilevel machine, so it's somewhat different from a CPAP machine, but is generally considered to be "above" CPAP.

I think DS150 and DS250 are the only PRS1 machines that don't collect good data, but I'm not really that familiar with the PRS1 Bilevel machines.

There's also a Bipap plus... which you don't want.

So I finally got my machine... It's a Resmed S9 Elite.

They stood me up on Friday (they do home delivery/setup, so I stayed home and they never arrived)... but the delivery guy called me today to say he can drop it off today.

The S9 is a HUGE upgrade from the PR S1 brick I got. I already downloaded SleepyHead and I already know how to get into the clinical menu
