Thanks.. I should be more careful how I word things.
My target I'm aiming for is December, but I would like to see it happen sooner if possible.. any time between the next couple of weeks and 2012.
It has to be feature complete first, then stabilized & free of all high priority bugs.. Then it can go beta.

It's what software people call "Real Soon Now."

lol!!
I'm only running at a % of my capacity thanks to the CFS/etc.. so any promises I make involving time-frames are good intentioned, but mostly full of hot air.
My daughter's away visiting both sets of grandparents for this next week, so I should get at least some quiet time to do some solid coding..
Zoom out problems

I have problems with zooming out with a right mouse click. Often nothing happens.
I believe that what is happening is that my mouse is so sensitive to movement that when I click the mouse button, the mouse moves a little and the program tries to scroll instead of zoom out.
If I carefully hold the mouse steady and click the button, I get the zoom.
Would it be possible to make a right mouse click with less than 10 pels or so movement do a zoom out function?

To be honest, it was designed mostly on a glidepoint.. There is a threshold to filter movement to determine if it's moving or stationary. I think this definitley needs increasing. I find myself doing the same thing - my hand is far to shakey on a mouse.

Will it run in an application like 'sandboxie'?
I have no idea what sandboxie is but I will tell you that I am using the latest version of SleepyHead on this new laptop with Windows 7 and it is a 64 bit computer. No problems. In fact, no real problems with the other versions either.
I do not know about RAM requirements. This laptop has 4 GB RAM.

Windows 7 Home Premium
64 bit
per sys info.
I also have SleepyHead on old laptop..32 bit Vista (not sure version but not the bare bones basic version) as it doesn't want to work all the time now, that is why I got the new laptop. The computer is messed up.. not SleepyHead.. When I can get the computer to stay on, things work fine. It just won't stay on very long.

Thanks for the info. This will make picking out a laptop much easier.

I saw the graphic card requirements which my PC doesn't meet....is there any minimum RAM requirements (I'm only running 512 which is as much as my machine will accept due to motherboard/bios limitations)?
At this point it looks like I'm going to need a new PC and want to make sure the one I get comes with the correct MS software.
Thanks for all the effort that has gone into this software.

Hi Tom, OpenGL 1.4 is pretty common.. I doubt your computer is that crummy. Well, I hope not.. :}
It's built 32bit, but will run fine, as 64bit windows provides the 32bit compatibility layers. You shouldn't need to do anything at all to get that to work.
Sandbox apps have been known to screw with printing.. Not sure what other havoc they will reak.. SleepyHead pretty much keeps to its own data folder (which it currently dumps in "My Documents/SleepApp". It doesn't need to prod any system settings. The check for updates feature may bork with certain firewalls.. (it just makes a HTTP request like a web browser does)
RAM wise, it needs around 100MB to import data.. (depending how much data you've got)
On subsequent runs, it only chews around 20MB to 60MBs.. or more if you switch on a record caching option in preferences.
If you've got swap space you should be all good.
Currently it needs a little more optimisation in the graphics system.. It's runs ok, but not super fantastic on my P4 Dell notebook (which I do most of my development on), which has a very crummy intel integrated graphics card. I've also tested it on an reasonably crummy SIS750 graphics chip notebook. (Works much nicer on nVidia/ATI hardware of course)
If your computer is much older than this, and you could possibly run into trouble, but SleepyHead is not the only app that will choke. (I take it you have another box in mind you'd like to run it on..? 64bit win7 doesn't sound that old)

Mark,
My home PC is a Dell from 1999/2000 and from what I checked online the OpenGL 1.4 came out a few years later which leads me to believe my PC is not compatible with SleepyHead. Since this is the family PC and because of its age I try not to mess with it too much.
I was thinking on using the sandbox app on my work PC to run SleepyHead on. The consequences of killing this PC with 'unauthorized software' would not be pleasant. I was inquiring about the 64 bit Win 7 compatibility issues because from the looks of things it's time for a new PC for the house and most likely it will have Win 7 in one form or another.
I would like to thank you once again for your efforts. I've been on CPAP therapy for 12 years and just recently upgraded my machine to one with data capabilities. Nice to know what's going on especially in my case since my AHI average since May is still over 9.

Ah, ok, that might be pushing it a bit.. you might be able to dig up a better (AGP?) video card for it.. but it's definitley getting a little "long in the tooth". A computer this age might have better luck with Linux instead of windows.
Sleepyhead does not touch the system registry.. it leaves no trace when you remove the binaries and the SleepApp folder. Always best to ask the boss first before using it on a work pc of course. You can tell him you will be more productive with better treated sleep apnea..
I deliberatly try to keep the specs down by doing most of the work on the old p4. I realize quite a few people still have systems specced lower than this..
I kind of had to draw the line somewhere.. interactive graphing needs a reasonable amount of computational ponies.

version 0.8.5
None that I see on daily graphs.. only on the overview.
I don't ever remember seeing color legend on daily report in any version but I haven't tried all but I have tried most.
