Thanks everyone.
I am home. Doing well. Back to one hand typing as left arm is still completely numb. They did some major nerve block from up in the shoulder down entire arm. They say roughly 24 hours of numbness.
Bone fragments were pinned together. Long splint from above elbow to fingers. No general anesthesia was used so no need for cpap, though they did request I bring it because if I had used general they wanted me to have the machine.
I am tired, stress an all but I feel pretty good right now and have a little more powerful pain pills available.
All everyones' good mojo sent my way must have work. No nausea. I have eaten well. I am just going to lurk a bit since I still have some good "I don't care drugs" in me and no telling what I might say.
Apparently during procedure I spent a lot of time trying to talk the doctor into giving me the okay to use riding lawn tractor.
I don't remember it at all. And crap, he told my husband no mowing for at least 6 weeks. Something about the bouncing around......oh well. I am busted.

Take it easy Pugsy, do not exaggerate with your repaired hand let it fix at it's pace. I'm happy to know all is good with you.
Take care!

Good to hear you're doing well after surgery and that the doc gave you some good pain medicine. You have a novel to complete so heal quickly and get lots of rest.

Pugsy you are in my prayers as you recover from this surgery. Take care of yourself and try to let others take care of you for a change.
You are a very giving person and you deserve to be taken care of for a while. Enjoy the pampering, if you can.
Take care and a speedy recovery to you.

Update:
Slept well for the 5 hours I slept last night. Slept right through Lizzie barking and raising hell. Wonderful Percocet. Hubby woke up thankfully. Horses had got out and were in yard by bedroom window. 3 AM. When he went out to get them they ran down the road. So he was out in his underwear chasing the horses down about quarter mile to neighbors before he got them turned around. I guess Rookie untied the chain on the gate.... Time for new locking system..
The nerve block is starting to wear off. Minimal discomfort at present.
Thank you everyone for all your kind comments and well wishes. I will take care. I really have no choice. Arm is so wrapped up and awkward it is hard to do much. Elevate and wiggle finger tips is about it.

Pugsy, keep ahead of that pain/ discomfort, those drugs work better if you don't wait until you are really hurting. Hope you have a speedy recovery! kathy

Glad to hear the surgery went well and you're home, Brenda!
Take good care of yourself and try not to overdo during the healing.
Now that the "pieces" are fastened together, we all want you to stay in one piece!
