my biggest problem would be what sleep number do the dogs want? they are very very picky and I'm stuck in the middle with one dog on each side of my legs ( my wife kicked me out long ago for snoring - the dogs don't mind since they snore more and louder than i do)

Perhaps they need to put the mask on.

We have had a sleep number for about 5 years now and really don't have anything bad to say. It is a middle of the road king size and though it was expensive, so is any other premium king size. The way I look at its there is nothing to wear out and sag or indent like a regular mattress. My wife likes her side soft and I like mine a little more firm so having the ability to adjust at will is great.

I've heard a lot of positive feedback about the SLEEP NUMBER Mattress/Bed. I've also heard that it is advisable - if you can afford it - to go for their Performance and/or Innovation Series. Would really appreciate any feedback from current owners regarding their specific model of the bed and its effectiveness in providing a good night's sleep (less tossing and turning). Thanks for your time with this... Appreciated.
We have had our sleep number bed for about 12 years now. It is the middle model 2 digital controls King size. WE LOVE IT SO MUCH!!! I have severe pain from fibro and Degenerative disc disease I can actually sleep on it.
There is a trick to not getting mold is every time u change the sheeets u unzip it and let it breathe.
There is one nice thing about it too. U can move it around with 2 people without taking the bed apart. It is pretty light. I cant say enough about my sleep number bed.

I had the middle one, king size, dual controls. Pillowtop but not the caadillac. I still tossed and turned, and the pressure I needed on my back was different than that needed on my side. Sleeping on my stomach was nearly impossible. There is a foam bar in the middle separating the 2 sides, so each side is really narrower than a twin. And don't plan on sleeping across or in the middle of it. It is also NOT conducive to snuggling.
When I discovered MOLD under the foam layer I was shocked! Googled to find it had been a huge problem. The company finally had to refund full purchase price to those customers. No wonder Select Comfort had been sending me glossy ads to upgrade. It took awhile and a great deal of arguing until I figured out what you had to say to get the full refund, but I got it after 10 years.
Even without my MOLD experience, it's still just an overpriced adjustable air mattress!
Same story with me, I had to throw my Sleep Number bed away because of the horrible mold. Everyday I had to unzip the cover and spray it with Lysol and blow it dry with a hair dryer. Five years after buying it we threw it in the trash and bought a regular mattress. I just found out about this mold lawsuit/refund a few days ago, and I am now pursing it with the company to try to get a refund. I actually believe the bed made me sick. It was around the time of the mold discovery that I began having chronic sinusitis and constant dizziness.
