Yeah, yeah, I got it!! As a matter of fact,I was surprised that was the only other thing he did casually throw out(I looked around to see if you were hiding somewhere ) but he quickly said that with his age and medical issues as major factors, he would not be considered a good candidate. I think everyone(me included) is deciding we should just be "coasting" at this time with the least intervention necessary to give him a good quality of life,and all things considered, he's doing pretty well when we were asked today to actually list his activities. He eats well, sleeps with his cpap, plays games and puzzles on the computer,TV, reads the newspapers and everything about his beloved Yankees, enjoys company within limits, the porch in nice weather and going out to neighborhood restaurants and of course his grandchildren! . And surprisingly he has no pain in the area except when we do wound care and a Tylenol takes care of that. He was elated to finally drive a short distance today and was his old self behind the wheel but that's questionable and will have to be discussed. So it's been a good day for us and we're feeling encouraged for now. One thing that's bothering me is that when this Dr measured the wound it was deeper than when our Dr and VN measured it, but I know that's subjective depending on where the stick happens to hit and our Dr doesn't really put too much accuracy in these measurements, he feels and looks for different things.
We'll be seeing him tomorrow and I'm sure he'll feel somewhat vindicated although he's really a very quiet, unassuming man and will probably just drop the subject and get down to business as usual.

I guess this means that we're not coming down there to camp out for a few months either.

I was really looking forward to "National Lampoon's cpaptalk Vacation".

BTW, do you have a storm drain in front of your house?
