I find it interesting that since I increased my pressure that the AHI hasn't changed much at all but the VS number has crashed to a tenth of what it was and now I seem to be sleeping much better. Also, several other health things that were starting to get out for control have improved. For instance, my blood pressure had been much higher for the past few months after being very well controlled. It has come down over the last week or two. Tonight after mowing the lawn it was 96/78 which is the lowest number I have ever seen for me.

OK, I went out and spearminted.
On my M Series Auto, if I do a half second snort like I'm clearing mucous from my throat, it shows up as a VS event.

When the machine says there's MAJOR SNORING and the (three) titration studies and the human being sharing my bed every night say NO SNORING, who's more reliable? (Note: Hubby complaining about my pre-CPAP snoring was the MAJOR reason the sleep study was done---so I know he used to hear the snoring pre-CPAP.)
And when the machine's data looks
quantitatively different depending on whether it is viewed in the Respriatory Events Chart (Encore Viewer and Encore Pro) or the Wave Form data (only in Encore Pro), which do I believe?

This is intriguing. I've already wondered at times whether the nights where the PR says SNORING and hubby says NO SNORING are correlated with nights on days with elevated pollen counts (either day before or day after) and my tendency to get more congested then even when I am on allergy meds and doing the whole neti pot thing. I decided to start tracking pollen count this week. I have to use the morning "pollen count forecasts" since that's all the data I can find on line. At this point, I've only got three days worth of data which is not enough to say anything.
And I have been tracking for quite a while when hubby says SNORING. Without reviewing the data, I'm pretty sure every time hubby says SNORING, the machine also says SNORING. Those are currently the days I give some credence to the machine's snore numbers.

I called in my wife for a consultation. She said it is a woman's rule to, "Never trust a husband about what a woman did in bed."

In that case, should I have not trusted my husband when he was saying my snoring was alarming him in the first place? It would have made this year so much easier if I had "not trusted him" about his reports of my snoring and its growing worse: There'd have been no sleep test, no OSA diagnosis, no CPAP, no insomnia, and my life would not have been turned upside down by this (mis)adventure .....
