That said, it is going to take a temendous amount of willpower to resist temptation - I am not one to tread on other's posts (ok, maybe a little) but I could extract HOURS of entertainment out of this.

Judging by the initial over-reaction to a couple of pokes, I suspect I could cause a full-on flaming rant meltdown with little effort - gonna have to think about this for a while. I like this forum and don't want to wear out my welcome, but the possiblities here are of epic proportions.....

Remember that the owners of the forum could decide that you are provoking him to be an a** and kick you off. I would do as at least one other person has said and mark your OT posts OT and let people skip over them. Otherwise, and I recommend this to the other party in this case as well, add him as a foe and ignore him. Don't be what you have been accused of - being juvenile.

Your stories are funny and many if not most people on the forum welcome and appreciate humor. I, for one, appreciate humor.

That said, from the sidelines, you are starting to sound like you want to initiate a fight. Using the title of the thread to single out the member who indicated that he did not appreciate off topic humor and then making fun of him says more about you than it does about him.

Instead of singling out one member, why not simply indicate in the title that the thread is Off Topic (OT) and then tell your funny story.

Yeah I got you, but I don't like board bullies - they are rarely stupid enough to pick on me so when it happens, I usually get caught off guard. Fair enough - but I will step in if I see someone else getting picked on, and then, the gloves are off.

Putting it in as OT is not bowing to tyranny, Just nice thing to say it's a topic, off topic, for a topic themed board.

However I did really enjoy that story you posted, thanks for shareing.

It is tyrannical if it is to appease one person.

But you are right of course, just thought I'd let things settle for a while - when I post OT in the subject, it'll be as a courtesy to the whole group, not because one guy told me I had to.

"OT" is used across many fora to indicate off topic posts. It's a common courtesy. Any attempt to call it anything else is simply an excuse to continue with non-courteous behavior.

Just remember that there are many here who will definitely be reading those OT funny threads. So no shame in putting OT in the title. I'm looking forward to more humor from you. Your stranger than fiction story made my day.
