All of Muffy's screen names and avatars are created as a "spur of the moment" event, with the only common link being they are all chiliaphobes.

Haven't I asked you at least a thousand times not to use words nobody understands? It scares me.

"Captain Midnight" was one of my favorite t.v. programs as a very young lad in the 50s (the other being Superman). As an aviator, and as one who once held the rank of Captain, and thinking that "midnight" was somehow apropos to a sleep disorder forum, it all seemed to fit. The avatar is pretty cool too.

Shifting topics...IDAHO MT BOY, might you have been from anywhere near CASCADE? (Great little town, I spent a few years there as a pipsqueak .)

Yep, born & raised 15 miles up the road! One brother still lives up there, one still owns the home farm as his summer hobby and second home, and another has a second home up there. Spend as much time as possible in the summer up there! Best summer climate in the US!

I chose the name first, then created an avatar as an homage to a very funny artist, whose work I enjoy. Later, I changed the avatar to an image that perhaps more closely matched the name. I chose the name in part because I enjoy noticing patterns in people, life, and events, and then making up stories or theories to help them make sense to me.

My name is Katy. People have called me Katydid since I was a kid. Most forums already have Katydid as a username, and I didn't like the look of Katydid2, so KatyDidAgain I became.

The avi is my recently passed kitty, Persephone, sitting in a tarp. Yeah, sort of wearing her on my sleeve atm.

When I joined 4 1/2 years ago, I was battling with my CPAP, sleeping pills, etc. and did not have enough brain cells working to be very creative so hence the boring name. Just my name and initial, oh well.

My avatar is my 12 year old lab Emma all decked out for the holidays. She isn't too fond of that collar as it has bells that jingle when she walks so so she only has to wear it for a little while on Christmas morning. I strive to have an attitude like hers. She is always happy to see me when I get home, loves to go for a walk and get excited every meal even though it is just the same old dog food every time. She snores worse than I did before CPAP, maybe she needs CPUP treatment.
