You will not find "Classic Humidifaction" in any menus. If you follow the steps I oulined above, you are turning OFF the "SYSTEM ONE humidification". When this is set to OFF, the macine operates in "Classic Humidification" mode. When it is in "Classic humidification" mode, the line in the menu labeled "Humidifier" will display the level of humidification as "C1, C2, C3, etc" instead of "1, 2, 3, etc"

Hope this helps.

Dennis, what you described is 100% accurate for SOME of the machines firmwares. What is tricky is there is actually at least 3 different situations on these machines when it comes to the classic humidification options. On the newest firmwares, it actually has it listed out. On the slightly older ones, its as you described. Then on the very oldest machines, it isn't even possible to activate classic mode.

I'm resurrecting this thread because I could not remember how to take my machine out of classic mode now that summer has finally decided to make an appearance.

For my machine (not sure where to find the firmware info) I have to do the following:

1. In clinician's mode, scroll to humidifier.
2. Hold down both the big button and ramp button ( it took a good 8 seconds or so). The machine will toggle classic to default or vice versa.

They sure make it difficult to find and use this COMFORT feature!

To find the firmware version, simply unplug the machine, plug it back in, and watch the LCD screen. The firmware version will show up before it goes to the regular screen.
