Re: Oh, This Just Keeps Getting Better (Not!)

Dear Girl, My teeth have been hurting too (as DoriC put it so well) and I just didn't know what to say. Then it came to me. It will do no good, but maybe it will make you smile. Sorry for the length, but just for the record, I mean it!

To set the scene, let us imagine that we have Madalot’s entire team assembled around a table. Her doctor would be there, along with the RT and the sleep lab personnel and the people who make decisions at the sleep lab she will be using. They are instructed to sit very still, to listen and NOT to interrupt. Now we begin.
We have gathered all of you here today
Because we have so much to say
In regard to a lady we hold so dear
(Madalot’s the name, let’s be clear.)
She comes to you seeking help,
She emails, she calls,
She tries to arrange,
Yet most of you cannot communicate (seems rather strange).
She needs this study done and done quite well
Yet you cannot and will not deign to dwell
On matters that concern her most
Her machine, her mask, her own private hell.
The makers of her own machine
Offered to get one to you
But someone decided that can’t be done, because
We all know you ARE the one(s)
Who know all, see all,
Yet cannot tell
This one dear lady
One good reason why, just “Oh Well”
MD’s. RT’s, Sleep Lab types,
Here is some news and it ain’t hype
The lady has friends at CPAP talk
And we happen to think our dear friend rocks.
So get it together;
Do it fast
Her patience (and ours) will not last
Return a phone call,
Make a plan, realize your patient
Has learned everything she can, so
Do not talk down to our good friend!
She is coming for sleep,
She is coming for rest,
She is bringing her own mask (it is for the best)
She is coming for answers so treat her just right
And make sure that she has a productive night
The lady has friends at CPAP Talk,
So I suggest you not rock her boat
Because if you do (do not dismiss this as a boast!)
You might expect a visit some time after,
From people far and wide, extra testy
and not prone to laughter
Yep, you got it,
Treat the lady right.
Or a horde of sleep deprived Hoseheads
will be ready to fight.
