I was titrated on the QFX, and that is the mask that was delivered. It works ok for me, minimal problems with leaks, except maybe at 3 to 5 am when I get the sweats. I have no intention of changing unless I happen to get a chance to try something else. Otherwise I'm ok with it.

It's a great mask for me.I make it a point to measure the top strap or put a mark on the bend with a sharpie. Installing is made easier by inserting one of the side alignment squares in first, then the other side and then the top. The cushions are less fragile if you hold one of the alignment squares when removing.
The padacheek strap covers help in reducing marks on your face. Especially on the side that is facing the pillow. The padacheek liners are great also.

Now, wouldn't it be nice if if technology for masks got to the point that each individual would get their face measured and mapped out with a laser, and a molding machine would take that data and use it to manufacture a custom fit mask? Look at the Dr. Scholls machine you find in most drug stores, where you stand on the pad, it measures the pressure points on the bottom of your feet and tells you what size shoe insert to look for. Kind of like that, but better. There could be many many different sizes and shapes alll hung on a rack, and you put your mug into a device similar to what you do at the eye doctor, where your chin rests on the chin seat, you sit still while a laser measures the 3 diminsional contours of your face, and then tells you which pre-numbered package to select that has the mask that most closely conforms to your measurements. A mask that could accept a wide range of cusion types, gel, inflatable, or other, which you can buy separately and to your individual liking. After all, we can still dream right?

Design it, patent it, become a millionaire (and an object of worship for legions of CPAPers!)

Wouldn't invest a dime into it until Obummer and his Ilk are all out of office and I have some confidence that the uncertainty of tomorrows future is stabilized with a smaller, rock solid long term fiscally conservative pragmatic government. So, forget it. Why should I do it just to give it to the government, who feels they know better how to redistribute it for me? Socialism is the end of entrepreneurship. The new healthcare laws will probably determine that most CPAPers are too old to warrant CPAP anyway, unless you have at least three or more election cycles to live and you agree to vote socialist in them to get your supplies. Optimistic soul aren't I? I'm glad I'm not going to live long enough to have to watch my grandkids go through that.
