That's why I love this forum. I've gained so much knowledge from threads that have "meandered" a bit and hit on a subject that applied to my situation or added to my education . So now Alex knows what EDS is to add to his alphabet soup! [/quote]

EDS, RDI, AHI, EPR...give us three letters, we'll make you a form of measurement.

Those usually wake me up every night living here in Miami but unless there was a massive decline of emergencies and accidents, I don't wake up to them anymore.
First... congratulations... I just read your whole thread and sure it is incredible what you went thought and how you are improving... good!!!!.... from one miamense to other... good job ..... BTW... I'm sure that I have seen your face in some place in Miami

Thank you very much Mikosiko...

Even though Miami is such a big city, its not rare to run into people more than a couple of times so we probably have crossed paths before...lol.

Yes, there certainly are a lot of acronyms in sleep medicine! It took me a while to figure out what they all meant, and some I still don't thoroughly understand.

Good to hear from you Alex,
I am doing fine. Ripped up the tiles in my kitchen floor the other day and today is tile laying day. Got a friend coming over with her wet saw. Putting down slate. Husband is truck driver, he won't be home till tonight after the hard work is done which is good because he means well but bugs me when I tackle a tile job. Hovers like a mother hen.

Glad to hear that you are doing well. I figured that you were enjoying your new found energy and feelings. Please come by ever now and then to keep us posted on how things are going. We are all a bunch of mother hens here.

Fantastic, Alex!!! It makes me happy to read the success stories, and yours has to be one of the best!

At some point, you might want to consider adding your experience to the "Newbie would like to hear success stories, please" thread at the top of the main forum page. Stay well, and be sure to let us all know how you're doing as your CPAP Journey continues.

+1. Alex, your story is a fine example of how a patient who is well-informed can advocate successfully to optimize his or her own care. It would make a good addition to the success stories thread.
