Did you say 3-4 *feet*? We've got another 3-4 inches coming today and tomorrow here in SE wisconsin but, hopefully, won't reach the 4 foot stage for awhile.

Yes, in many parts of upstate New York, and into ski country in Vermont and Maine, it's not at all unusual for locals to speak of amounts in terms of FEET. Myself, I still find these kinds of conversations unnerving as hell.

Still have the occasional daydream about walking along the cove in La Jolla,CA in shorts and a t-shirt when forecasters put the words "snow" and "emergency" together in the same sentence.

Your Minnesota and Wisconsin snows put our piddly Maryland snow to shame. I've got an Australian friend who never saw snow and wanted a photo of a snowman and all I could pony up was a snowball. I should send him YOUR photos to impress him with the real thing!

I dunno, never sleeps. 40 degrees on a thermometer doesn't look so bad to me. That's not as cold as it is here in Tenn. tonight.

Yup, and that's why I stuck in the link to an old topic where that same picture was before....and where "I blinked."
Was just joking with never sleeps.

Ozij,
You seriously have the best memory on this site. You can always be relied upon to come up with a link to something that was written way back when;
in this case, three months ago. And with the amount of threads that are authored in a month's time, even three months is really good to have such specific memory of an individual post, especially one like this that had nothing to do with treatment or CPAP. Do you have part elephant in your blood lines? You never forget!

40 below - and that's not counting the wonderful midwestern wind chill, right NeverSleeps? Once it gets below 0 or 5 below, though, it really doesn't make that much difference. You can't feel anything at all at that level!
What I love is the "exposed skin will freeze in 4 seconds" warnings they give on TV! We have an office pool on that one!

Wow, and you live there because...
I got sunburned washing my new car today and wore shorts and a short sleeved shirt!

Actually, its the pictures I never forget - and that one is unforgettable, at least to me...
By the way, -40 is the same temprature for both Celsius and Farenheit, they meet at -40, and go on their merry ways again...
