I don't have time to go through the long explanation so I just pulled this link above from many after googling it. I am lazy also I am too busy trying to direct my dreams to be like those I had back when I was young and had lots of (ahem) "sexual" energy. Now that I can remember the dreams it would be so nice to have a few like those....

Oh, that is what has been wrong. I was thinking about a top, a bottom, and feet.

I used to get very powerful and disturbing dreams on cpap. They were so bad I'd wake up sweating and shaking, my heart would be pounding, and I'd need to get up and sit quietly for at least half an hour to return to normal. Since the cpap I still get the occasional dream, even nightmare, but they are nowhere near the intensity or regularity of what I had before. My guess is that cpap would allow most people to get into a deeper sleep where you don't dream.
I think its impossible to analyze an individual dream and attribute it to cpap. Look at the broader picture.

Dear Friends,

This morning I took my mask off when the clock went off, intending to get up in just a minute or 2, and I was so tired, I fell back to sleep. I had a bizzare nightmare about my ex-husband. This was w/o cpap! Although, I can understand that if the cpap is uncomfortable in some way, it can cause you to dream about being stuffed with air, or drowning in water (rain out), etc. When I first was using cpap, the second night I dreamed that I went to work with my mask and hose still attached - there I was, in front of everyone, walking around with my mask and hose!

The good news is that I no longer feel like I am going to fall asleep in the car while driving. Thanks to cpap I'm back to being me again. Yeah, I still have some nights that are better than others, but that overwhelming feeling of fatigue is gone now.

Wishing everyone peaceful, restorative sleep,

Jersey Girl
