Everythings getting skimpier.
I usually go to the store in one of my Miata (we have 2: one prepped for autocross competition which also works well for fighting through rush hour traffic and the other is for cruising) so I don't have much room for groceries. Recently, to save room, I've taken to buying free-dried water. To reconstitute it ... just add water! .

I would be very hesitant of adding anything to my humidifier water for a number of reasons:
- the additive could degrade the integrity of the humidifier tank, hose or mask
- the concentration would have to be very carefully monitored as you are directly inhaling via hose/mask delivery instead of filling the room with the scent
- I've never seen any published data on the safe levels of additives; in fact, I've never seen any indication that any additive is safe!
You can experiment on yourself if you'd like, but I'll ask for volunteers instead .

Well, found the problem. My brand new tank has a crack on the back wall of it, the side that faces the machine. I went to do the laundry and had a few clothes laying messily beside the bed and when I picked them up, they were soaked! Thank god for dirty laundry and my messy self, or I would have never figured it out. I did check under the machine a couple of times and the table was dry, but probably because I checked it 10 hours after I woke up in the morning, so it had evaporated.
Ordering a new tank in the AM.

Sorry have to!
I would NOT think that directly inhaling anything like that for 6-12 hrs would be a good thing...
