Ok, first off, here's the report showing things were going fine from the 14th to the 30th when things kinda went to h*ll in a handbasket on the 30th. Nothing changed. I assumed high leak rates were causing the problem. But no mask change, WHY high leak rates all of a sudden?

Ok, here's a page of a Wave Form report. Is this what you Wave Form page(s) looked like the night(s) your PR S1 stopped, then started again on you??

If not, does anyone have any explanation(s) for a Wave Form page like this?

I have had my new machine approx 1 month (new replacement after the other one stopped a few times). It has 1.24.

Sorry Slinky. While I do have Encore Pro, I've never been able to get it running on my Vista computers. I have to make do with EncoreViewer. Unfortunately, Encoreviewer does not provide wave form information.

If you have a workaround to allow me to get Encore Pro working on my Vista computer, let me know.

Sorry, HoseHead. 1] I'm using Win XP and 2] I don't know diddley-squat about what I'm doing and have to hire my 'puter guru for everything. The ONLY software I've EVER been able to install all by myself successfully was AutoScan 5.7 from Resmed. By the time ResScan came around I "might" have installed the first version on my own but I know for sure that after that I was too intimidated to even TRY to install any more software!!!! I did try a much earlier version of EncorePro and it created such a mess ... I was cured of any further attempts.

We're having the same issues as well. Auto Off and Auto On are both off.

Last night Walter woke up because the machine beeped at him and shut off. He awoke in a state of panic and told me the machine shut itself off.

The 5am wave form that looks like it shut itself off and on again, but didn't wake him up.




the daily details: You can see a discontinuation at the 5am mark (purple minimum pressure line)




I checked the plug and all the settings, and everything looks good. Is there anything else to check?
This PRS1 is on v2.01.

I'm also having this problem I thought it was just me! Firmware version 1.07

I purchased it in March of 2010 here at cpap.com... I wonder if they will help me get one that doesn't have this problem?

I just installed EncorePro 2.4xx on my Vista computer last month without incident. It is 32 bit though. Was that your problem. I think there is also a version for 64 bit computers now.

Update.

Didn't bother trying to repair my machine, just shipped me the latest model.

Has anyone had the problem with the later model?

Hi wolftracker,

Old thread, not sure any of the original folks will respond. My guess (from the firmware version you list) is that your machine is out of warranty. The date on the bottom might help determine if its been more than two years (might look like 20101208, the first four digits are the year) if you take out your humidifier tank before tossing the machine upside down to see. Or look at your receipt.

Unless someone else knows of a "silent recall" you might just as well skip repair and get a new one. There are lots of little improvements since that first version. If that does not work for insurance or out-of-pocket, are you comfortable taking it apart to look for anything obvious? I ask that only because I am the type who has to see inside. I hope you have a working backup available to you, whatever you decide.

Wolftracker there is a thread on here that one of the DMEs in the states is prepared to update the firm ware on your machine for what seemed a fairly modest fee. That might be worth a try before buying a new machine.
