If you're able to do it yourself and the update goes South you got yourself an expensive paper weight. Sort of like flashing your BIOS in a computer.

I can confirm that Respironics uses an RS-232 interface. Firmware Upgrade Version 2.53 is for 2.XX model versions only. The version can be determined by looking at the serial number label at the bottom center.

RAMP TIME
Enables you to modify the Ramp time setting in 5 minute increments. The range for this setting is 0 to 45 minutes.
