I try to never let my tank run dry. Smells horrible.
Like demon fart.

Given the size of the tank, and the fact that the air pretty much goes in and right out of the tank, I don't think I would get much humidity in passover mode with my Airsense 10.

I've had good luck with the Auto settings on my AirSense10 with heated tube. Comfortable temp and no rainout.

We live in the Seattle area,I add room temperature water and keep my chamber set at three with the hose set at three except on colder nights when I might turn it up to 5 and pull the hose under the covers for warmth plus keeping my nose from freezing. We spend a month on Cortes Island, BC every summer and then I I keep the humidity chamber set on three but the hose on one unless a rainstorm pushes through. Same at home in late Aug. till October. We love Vancouver and visit often, lucky you!
