Mine is 17/30. I have a vpap machine by ResMed. I also have severe complex sleep apnea. I heard that my pressures are very high.. I am fairly new at this so I don't really know.

5 Which was a nice surprise since my AHI was 60 when the sleep study was done.

Yes, that was indeed a nice surprise for you, mck, and an easy pressure to use. There are usually less problems getting masks to stay sealed at low pressures.

Severity of the diagnosis -- mild, moderate, severe -- is not an indication of how much pressure is needed to keep the airway open.

LinkC said it well (back on page 2 of this thread):

Titrated at 7-ish....they raised to 8 and said it didn't do anything more according to the sleep study report. Well, it was a split night, hardly showed a right hunk and level of sleep!

Given an APAP (love my doc!!), and two years later, my 95% is at or near 10 on average. Originally it was between 8 and 9 on average. A number of things might be causing the higher pressure, and I am addressing those so I can hopefully see my pressure needs go back down. (Allergens in my new environment, chronic nasal swelling most of this year, *stress*, different bed than before, different pillows, body aches causing changes in sleep positions.....etc.)

I missed this poll first time through....glad it was resurrected!

Hmmm, doesn't seem to be a way to change my vote... I voted 14-15 at the time but since changing the range on my APAP from 6-18 to 10-18, I would now have to vote for 10-11. I love being an average person

Hmmm... No multiple choice ...

My EPAP pressure is 10. My IPAP pressure varies from 13 to 25 cm H2O. Yup, 25 !!!

Did I mention that using an ASV can be "interesting"? ... But then that's the ventilator part of the machine. And my machine definitely has to ramp up occasionally to provide the pressure I need to sustain my breathing.

Auto, set to 11-16. Was titrated 5 years ago at 10, but my average pressure is 11.5 since switching to a PR-S1. It was 12 with the old ResMed Vantage s-8.
