What kind of Dr would send you home with an APAP set at 4-18?!!! Call the Dr. now and tell him what you just told us. If you don't get immediate instructions on how to raise your lower pressure, let us know and someone will help you do that. I would not go to sleep tonight until I had that changed. Jeez!!!

Stick w/the PAP therapy. Rome wasn't built in a day and this is an entirely new way to have to learn to sleep.

And since you can check your data, more important at this early stage is the Leak rate rather than the AHI.

Get your Leaks under control - 90%-95% leak rate preferably under 24 L/M but certainly under 40 L/M.

4-18 cms is too wide a gap. PAPs are too slow to get from that low a setting up to where the pressure is needed to stop the apneas. 6 cms would be a much wiser lower end pressure - unless - you also had an in-lab titration study in which case the best scenario is 1-2 cms below your titrated pressure and 2-3 cms or more above your titrated pressure.
