Now that I have some data what am I looking at? During the day my SPo2 is about 96 and pulse rate of 60. At night my basal avg is 95 and pulse = 55. So i think my cpap pressure is set ok.
other interesting day time data: My wife tests at 98-99 Spo2 with a pulse rate of 85 compared to my 95-96 at 60. If I do deep breathing I can get it up to 98-99. Is the Spo2 level different with pulse rate and is 95 considered to be low or average for me?

The instructions I found online say these devices cannot be used for more than 2 hours.
How do you use it for a home sleep study then?

It depends which model you buy. Some models are recording oximeters, some of just "spot-checking" oximeters.
The ConTec CMS-50D is NOT a recording oximeter, the ConTec CMS-50D+ (notice the D Plus) IS a recording oximeter that comes w/its own software and does a great job of reporting overnight oximetry.

OK, I ordered the 50D Plus that records. But I don't want to wake up with only 9 fingers or anything...

Benchr, The 4 hour limit is suggested because some people have sensitivities to latex. Some latex is used in the part of the oximeter that goes over your finger.
