I was getting worried that I was the only glass-half-empty person here. I also call it "the #$!&(@ CPAP", as in, "Here we go again with the #*(@(!*#@ CPAP" or "thanks to that @(!)#&$#^ CPAP, I woke up a million times last night", etc.

When my dad got his a few years ago, my mom kept calling it his "sea pack." I told her it was a cpap- continuous positive airway pressure. She paused, then told me she likes sea pack better because he looks like he's ready to go scuba diving with the mask on.
