hey Cindy,
Actually I take my mask (cushion pieces) into the shower with me because I use pure Ivory soap and I wash it every morning with that. So I'm really thinking it must be a combo of moisturizer and the bleaching/blending components of my skin care routine. I will be done with Obagi in about 3 weeks and will find another alternative, hopefully.

Muse I am so glad you found something that worked for you. My main issue (before I knew about the brain tumor or the OSA) was sun damaged skin. Being a beach baby I was...shall we say....looking older than my years. So I set about finding a solution to that and within the next 5 or 6 months found out about the OSA and then the brain tumor. Needless to say all things normal stopped from July till late Sept after surgery and it has taken me the last 13 months to get back on track. My skin is in MUCH MUCH better condition so I think it may be time to get off Obagi all together or at least only use the regimen in phases. I do plan to talk with my dermotologist before making a major change but I'm so happy for all the ideas here. I look forward to trying a more natural approach vs the chemicals in Obagi.

Grew up in So Fla when Bain d'Soleil was a daily requirement and sun screen was what lifeguards put on their noses! I can relate! Blistering sunburns every summer, so I play vampire today and avoid sun exposure. Doc's not taken any skin from sun damage since '97 when I started using DermaE's Alphalipoderm cream. Their products are reasonably priced too! And grapes are pretty cheap when you're only using 1/2 at a time
Good luck!

Oh yeah, I drink a lot of water...banishes the dry skin I get from even a little bit of dehydration.

I am not good about drinking water. I know I should, but the 3 trips to the bathroom per every cup of water annoys me.
