One of the annoyances of the REmstar machines is no mask fitting feature like the ResMeds have. That means if you have a range of settings that starts out low and goes fairly high as you do, it's hard to fit the mask because you fit it at the lower pressure which often leaks at the higher pressure.
If you know how to increase the pressure (in the clinician's mode), you might try turning it up to your maximum pressure to just to adjust the headgear. Then put it back on the prescribed settings for actual use.
I'm wondering if your APAP is set 4 to 15 or there is a ramp set that starts you at 4. Most of us find it very hard to breathe and are uncomfortable at 4. If that's not even your pressure range, but is a ramp for "comfort" (only a comfort to people who market these things without actually using them!), it should definitley be turned up. If they have you on a wide open pressure range (usually 4 to 20) for titration purposes, they should by now be able to up your minimum pressure by taking a good look at your data.
