I chose mine as it's my boxer which I got from a rescue. We got her after our other rescued boxer died in April. I smile inside everytime I see her. She is always happy to see me come home.

I'll ditto your comments, Muse-Inc. Blackspinner's Steampunk outfit is way cool. Just learned this year what Steampunk is all about, in attending my first Sci-Fi convention in some 25 years. (BayCon is Santa Clara) Worldcon is coming to Reno next summer. I will be there in Narnia/Na`vi style!

Steam punk is very suited to "mature" figures with presence!

Mine is of my bird: Pierre

She (yes, she was named prior to knowing what sex she is) is the mother of 4 other birds that I have (along with 1 new addition). In this shot, she is taking a siesta on my knee (her right eye was closed, and she is perched on one leg).

Reminds me of happily sleeping....

Decided to change my Avatar. My daughter took this of me tonight so I thought I would use it here. I will probably change back to Garfield later or maybe the self portrait I did of my self on Corel Draw.

Because as a kid that's who I looked like. My Grandmother called me Spanky, my Father called me Butch so depending which relative I was around the most was what I was called.

My avatar is a favorite picture taken on a Panama cruise at an ostrich farm a couple years ago................taken right after the male ostrich mounted his female a mere few feet away from my kids and I. It brings back lots of fun memories............and way too much education.

Also, I've always been jealous of long & lean, given my dx of osa, you can guess that is truly not me.

Ostriches are really interesting birds. I have a friend who has ostriches, His are mainly pets, but he does use the eggs for various things (and has built a robotic egg collector). It is a lot of fun to just watch them...orhave them watch you!

Tielman, nice bird. We have a cockatoo at the zoo who has 'changed sex' a number of times. Her name was Macho, but now Michelle. I think our bird expert finally got the sex right. Only time will tell.....

I seriously thought about using this image before settling on Sleepy, the good looking dwarf.

This is proof that the earliest cpap machines and masks were tested on lab animals before they were distributed by your local DME.

What you're saying is that you wish you had a long, thin neck like an ostrich.

yeah right...............................just long & lean overall. Knowing my luck, if I prayed for such a thing, God would give me a long and lean neck like an ostrich or giraffe..........
