On behalf of my wife, Wilma, I'd like to apologize for anything she did or failed to do but should have that resulted in any disruptions of electricity, phone, cable services, etc.
Note that this apology in no way constitutes an acknowledgement of legal or financial responsibility for any losses you may have incurred.

Barnaby and all the others in Florida. My heart goes to you for all you are going through. Mother nature had been very cruel in the south this year. And they say it will be like this another 7 years
I have threatened to move to another area. But in reality, where is the perfect area? Between storms, earthquakes, fires, slides, and terrorist attacks!

R&R,
Do me a favor. If you find that perfect area, please let us know where it is. NY is great, change in seasons. Hot sunny summers, snowy winters, the intermediate seasons of spring and fall which are both gorgeous. A little bit of everything, without the devastating hurricanes or tornadoes. But like you said, NY is a target for the loonies of this world. Look at the World Trade Center. No one is far enough away, at least not on LI, if NYC is the target. We would be cut off from everything if something drastic happened to the bridges and tunnels. What a thought. But then look at Oklahoma and the horrible federal building bombing there. I think we all have to just resign ourselves that there is no place like home, no matter where it is and as imperfect as all places are.

For no natural disasters, Scotland does not have any. But it has a very high cost of living. It is a lovely place though, I could live there. But I do know, I want to get away from the hurricanes when I retire. I'm tired of them, so I won't be retireing to Florida
