Ten minutes later she calls back saying they were cancelling the charge for the "monitoring device and it would not be billed" !!! I confirmed this with the local office.
Way to go!!!!!!!!
May I suggest that you write a "confirming memorandum" to the person you spoke to and reiterate that conversation had with her on such and such date at such and such time. Invite her to contact you if there's anything you "misunderstood". Make sure you CC a copy to your insurance company.
Now, a moment of silence for all the other people they have done this to, who are not savvy enough to question the extra $600 charge.
Edited to add: You should really post the name of the DME so other buyers who are smart enought to read this site can beware. Company and location.
