And all of that (list) and 10 cents will get you a hundred other lists with interchangable symptoms that fit 1,000 other diagnoses. I mean, if you have nothing better to do than play pin the symptom on the condition...

I have osa/hypopnea - but I also have:

Gerd: for many years, long before OSA became an issue

Anxiety: for many years, long before OSA became an issue

Blood Pressure: has become elevated in the last few years as apnea became a problem.

No weight problem - but rather a weight problem but am not fat. 25 years of consistent exercise has built me up considerably considering I was a 150lb weakling when I was 30. I now weigh 30-40 lbs more than I look, but I could never diet it off. No much squishy stuff either. Doctors are perplexed when they weigh me. I figure it's all in my brain.

I have Diabetes and high blood pressure but no heart problems that I am aware of. I know that heart problems and high blood pressure run in the family. My granddad had a pace maker put in after suffering a cupple of heart attacks, canser took him though. I also found out last week that a few of my relitives on my dads side have sleep apnea, I am woundering if my granddad didn't have it.

Usually a sleep study determines this.

But some cpap machines, such as my Sandman Auto, also give this information, but how accurate this is I do not know.

My apologies for taking so long to reply.

cheers

Mars

Edit By the way, everybody is still welcome to post, but the poll is closed.

Other problems that have been mentioned on lists so to speak:

Headaches (morning, noon, and night): Life long sufferer of headaches. Actually, I'm quite a connoisseur of headaches: Migraines, sinus headaches, tension headaches, TMJ headaches, PMS headaches, caffeine headaches, lack of caffeine headaches, lack of food headaches, flu/head cold headaches, rebound headaches---I suffer from them all (well, except for PMS now that I'm into menopause). Sometimes I get double and triple whammies. The headaches have been a life long problem and go back well before my husband ever suspected I might have sleep apnea. Since starting CPAP a couple of weeks ago, I've had a constant headache that feels like a tension headache except that it never really goes away.

Aches: Well I've got minor arthritis in hands, feet, wrists, and neck. Much more achy when the weather is changing. Again, this goes back much farther than my husband's first suspicions that I had apnea.

Tinnitus: Goes back to multiple middle ear infections as a small kid. It's gotten worse since starting CPAP though.

Not on the list: Vertigo problems that date back at least 10 years, again long before my husband started worrying about whether I was breathing normally at night.

tiredandscared - don't take it personally. They all make fun of us who accidentally revive an ancient thread. Doesn't matter what board you are on. Been there, done that.
