That's because exercise, burns more fuel (Sugar) in your body, O2 is needed to burn the fuel, to get the extra O2 our lungs have to work harder to supply it. I've always had problems getting enough air during exercise, from as early as I can remember from childhood.
My problem is going up one flight of stairs or walking to my truck now puts me out of breath, not a fun way to live. That's why I just got a O2 meter, to see if something could be done to improve things. What it has shown me is that when I am out of breath my O2 is still about the same as when at rest (93-94) for me. So I have other problems besides O2 that causing the weakness. Probably the Insulin I take, still can't work in my cells, to allow the fuel to burn, making me weak. Jim
