I will admit that for the first few minutes in the morning my nose looks broader but I believe it is from the pressure of my mask required to keep a good seal. There might be a bit of an upturn also. Fortunately noses are flexible and within 15 minutes I look as ugly as ever.

Absolutely!

Simply turn the picture I submitted upside down, and you will have your answer.

It's your eyes and hair I'm worried about, Muse!

Yes, definitely. I used the nasal pillows for about 2 months and feel that my nostrils are larger than they were previously, like they have been stretched somewhat. It isn't noticeable really, but I can tell the difference.

I believe it does stretch the nostrils yes, because first night I didn't have leak from my pillow, and thereafter I started to develop a leak and it is the same size pillow

Yes, after 10+ years nostrils are larger, but who cares. Cpap is worth it all, even the wear and tear on the hair.

I think I have a stubborn childhood habit to thank for my excellent fit with my FX nasal pillows.

Hi!

I would think that one determinant of possible nose form change would be the degree of pressure you have been prescribed. I've had the Swift LT nasal pillow mask for about seven years. My pressure use to be around I think 5 and now it has gone up to 11. Nose is soft tissue and cartilage so it would seem to change with constant pressure in any way over time. I use my cpap 365 days a year and every night which adds up to very substantial time my nose gets very inflated at this pressure. The reason I ended up here in my internet search was because I observed a change in my nose and hope it doesn't keep changing, that it subsides or whatever and at least doesn't advance into the WC Fields syndrome or category. Dizzie Gillespie (sp?) his face changed with constant pressure, so not unreasonable to think nose form could change. I could change into a mask that cups over the entire nose and avoid the inflation effect but then there's the irritation for me with the triangular gel pad pressure and the pressure of the small gel piece in the middle of the forehead. So far I'm just settling on health benefits out-weighing drawbacks as what else can one do? The part I also don't like is the mild pain after my nose being inflated for several hours every day. So anyone who posts please mention what your pressure is and consider that as a variable causal factor to this. Maybe many of you are at much lower pressures and don't understand such a posting. Thanks to whomever started the post. Hope this helped.
Top of the Day!

Uh, I think, maybe my nose is maybe a tiny bit different.
But I think it's mostly due to age and childhood "mining" forays.
When you grow up with allergies, there's always something . . .
Getting to an age where looks don't matter so much can mean letting things happen.
-like strap marks on my face, blisters on my nose, and a bit of broken hair on top.
Keeping my priorities straight; I still look better alive than "natural".
