That's just creepy.
Many CPAP.com'ers have CPAPtalk loaded and are browsing as part of their day. Its encouraged. Some crazy feel good idea from upper management about "voice of the customer". As a result, I get a few "hey, you read that thread" messages a day internally and when one of them says I might have shipped used equipment, I get pretty active!!!

Having run a "pick and pack" order fulfillment center, I can tell you that that kind of service is awesome. Of course, we only picked the merchandise off the shelves in the small building and put in a box, put filler material, taped the box, and shipped the product. These folks at CPAP.com do more than that, including testing the equipment and setting it up for use - all the stuff the DMEs would be doing to prep your hardware.

Plus he's not one of them tea-sips from Austin.

"Crazy feel-good idea?" You probably shouldn't be taking about Dad or your lovely wife like that. LOL.

BTW: On another forum, where I spend more time, my wife is online there as well. A bit of playful grief is a good diffuser.

Again, the CPAP.com folks are good people.

My F&P Opus 360 mask that I purchased recently from cpap.com came the same way. plastic shield over the Med nasal pillows which were mounted to the mask frame. The small & large nasal pillows were wrapped in plastic but the mask headgear was not--just in a box. I've had other F&P masks in the past and they all came unwrapped in the box as I recall. Kinda strange and I wondered if they were new or not at 1st too. After the 2nd one, I just decided it must just be a F&P thing. Hope my two cents helps too!
