Well I have been around the wilds of Scotland for the past 4 weeks. I have changed beds every two or three days and thats made me realise that each bed needs to be adjusted to.
I have found that my hose needs to be dropped vertically over the edge of the bed down to the cpap machine on the floor to get the best flow of air.
I have had two occasions where my children have woke me up when I have rolled onto my mask and they have heard the hissing of air escaping. I didnt hear it as I was sleeping soundly.
The cold and damp of a Scottish summer ensured I caught a streaming cold. Wearing a cpap mask when your nose is dripping snot is really bad and I wont attempt it again.
My son paid me a compliment of sorts when he begged me to start wearing my "snorkel" again as he had got used to NOT hearing me snore.
I still have a red mark on the bridge of my nose but I see that as a small price to pay for sleeping soundly.

I am back in Qatar now. Yesterday I drove to see my brother who is over 1 hour away. We had a fantastic dinner and me and my sprogs went shopping on the way home, around 8PM.
I drove for one hour, got home about 9PM, watched WWE Summerslam. As I was going to bed around 11:30PM I realised that I had not snoozed all day and I had driven over an hour at night and I wasnt tired at all.

God bless cpap.

You have to use your mask even when you have a cold. Not using it can kill you. The best solution is to have at least a full face mask for those times when your nose is stopped up.
