I don't see it that way at all, Max. I believe that everyone is welcome here -- regardless of nationality, race, size, political leanings, sexual orientation...whatever. I'm sure there are a few narrow-minded people here (as there are everywhere), but sleep disorders do not discriminate. So why should we? And I believe the overwhelming majority of the people who frequent this forum feel the same.

As for cliques, well, I suppose I felt that way at first too. I felt like an "outsider" for a while, until I started contributing to the board myself. But I've always felt welcome here. People have gone out of their way to help me -- including some very kind Aussies!

I have to agree with you, Dream On. I've received a tremendous amount of help from most people here, including people from many countries other than the US. Some of the members from Australia have been some of the most supportive of me. I'm not ignoring other countries either -- just pointing out how the statement that Australians aren't welcome here seems very odd to me. I think everyone is welcome in this forum as long as they treat others the way they want to be treated.

I really don't care where a person is from. I decide about them based on their behavior, not the country they come from.

Yup! We get apnea there too... "there", of course, meaning whichever country I happen to be from at any given moment. I KNOW we have a global community on this message board because I'm a global community... single-handedly... Oh, I'm from Australia too!
