Yes. However if you have a ramp time set on the S9 it may restart with a ramp up. I think this may depend on how long the power has been out... I haven't actually tested it my self as yet.

You will wake up, there's no risk of suffocating.

Also, if you are using a full face mask, there are valves which will automatically open if the incoming airflow from the flow generator stops.

If you are likely to experience semi-regular power outages, you need to look into a standby power system. Do not be tempted buy a computer UPS as that will probably not be a great experience for you.

I would start by asking around your local community for what others do in the case of the power outages. You will probably discover the local experts in setting up standby power systems fairly quickly through that approach..... there are a whole host of reasons why some people will need standby power so its highly likely you aren't the only one with that need.

Resmed have advised that they will have a 12V battery power source adapter for the S9+H5i available around July/August, and that would be something that would be very useful for a battery based standby power solution.
