Yes. However if you have a ramp time set on the S9 it may restart with a ramp up. I think this may depend on how long the power has been out... I haven't actually tested it my self as yet.Max250 wrote:1. If the interruption is short (ie only a few seconds), will the S9 and h5i (which I think will be the machines I will be buying), immediatly continue what they were doing as if nothing had happened
You will wake up, there's no risk of suffocating.Max250 wrote:2. If the power dosent immediatly come straight back on, will the mask with no pressure, and with me asleep, suffocate me by having no or little air supply at all with the pump off?
See above.Max250 wrote:So any suggestions for how to wake myself if the power and the machine goes off, gratefully received.
If you are likely to experience semi-regular power outages, you need to look into a standby power system. Do not be tempted buy a computer UPS as that will probably not be a great experience for you.Max250 wrote:Running the cpap with a battery pack as back-up supply (like a clock radio battery) may be an option but the one available for the Resmed is several hundred dollars and I am not sure whether you can have use it as a back up with the power from the mains on at the same time.
