Right now I'm in the middle of fighting the cold.
John, I truly hope you get better very soon.....some advice for sinus congestion, etc - Drink LOTS of water (not tea, coffee or sodas)
Water with some fresh lemon is fine.

Wow! First, my thanks for the wonderful notes. I appreciate it.

I still feel as if I've got some serious tire tread marks all over me. But I could sit and focus a little more today. So, I'm making some progress.

qjosea, I certainly do remember you. Glad your able to get the right unit to make a difference. I agree. It is a god send! I know that the uncontrolled central sleep apnea led to real problems with my blood pressure. That combined with ibuprofen and my type 2 diabetes did some damage to my kidneys. Fortunately, it appears to be stable. But I thought I was being a bit overly dramatic when I told my neurologist that I did not think I would live a whole lot longer if I did not get the central sleep apnea under control. Little did I know how right that was. BP problems went away once I started using the ASV unit.

No, I try to remember everyone who comes here looking for help (especially if they struggle with central apneas). I don't want anyone else to have to go through the years of hell that I did.

Rooster, thanks for the note on Vitamin D. I've not had a cold in more than a couple years. Growing up (since teen years onward) I would get three or four bad colds per year. I suspect the poor breathing led to sinus infections, which led to sinus drainage, which led eventually to lung congestion.

Between xPAP therapy and the pnuemonia vaccine (which should make no difference, but did seem to help), I'm doing better. In fact, when I get one now, they tend to SEEM to be worse. But I think I'm just not used to having a cold.

Mars, I would love to get the chance to visit Australia. Though it's not as much fun, we just do web / telephone based training. It saves a lot on the travel costs.

Kiralynx, I'm not paranoid. I *know* the world is out to get me! : ) [ Actually, it's amazing how I tend to see the same problem from different customers. And I tend to see three of the same problems. Though I can probably track much of that back to pressure from common regulatory agencies, it's still weird to see that type of "coincidence" play out. ]

Anyway, thanks again for all the well wishes!

Thanks howkim. Not to hijack John's nice thread, I started a new "D" thread: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=51807
