Come on, you guys are better than that. This is about helping and sharing, not gauging egos.
Not necessarily - the issue could be dependent on the software and hardware environment on the PC that is running ResScan.Nord wrote: And the thing is... if ResMed is correct that the bug resides in ResScan Software itself...
then everyone has the Skew that uses the software... not just a few (some?) (many?)...no... all.
Thanks Bill, it's great that we have you here to protect us from reading someone else's opinion. Not.billbolton wrote:I've have (sic) certainly posted when I see an unsupportable assertion..... such as the one above.... which have been appearing all too frequently in these threads.
Who appointed you as the arbiter of good policy Bill? That's just such a pompous thing to say. In any case, "fast and loose with facts", "all too frequently"...what are you talking about? Where are your facts?billbolton wrote: Playing fast and loose with facts under the guise of "opinion" is never a good policy.
...they might be Bill, if they were helpful. But you frequently seem to be just criticising or correcting other people. Although you appear quite knowledgeable you rarely seem to have anything positive or helpful to say, you seem more interested in a) trying to prove that you are right and b) using unneccessarily florid language and extraneous annoying punctuation to make yourself look "smart" . That's just my opinion, subjective and unsupported. Others may feel differently etc.billbolton wrote: To-the-point comments on specific issues are quite appropriate in discussion, whether you happen to like them or not.
I don't agree with everything that Nord said or the way he said it but I really think that ad hominem is an inaccurate characterisation. As an example, if I asserted that Bill Bolton is wrong because he writes in a pompous pedantic way that winds up other people, that would be an ad hominem attack. I think it's more a case of Bill Bolton is wrong and he writes in a pompous pedantic way that winds up other people. That is personal and subjective, but it is not ad hominem.billbolton wrote: Long ad hominum attacks (etc) are the things that are clearly about baiting people
Poor Bill tends to get uncontrollably upset should anyone make a comment about Resmed that doesn't meet his approval. Really.billbolton wrote:I can't speak for anyone else but I've have certainly posted when I see an unsupportable assertion..... such as the one above.... which have been appearing all too frequently in these threads.Nord wrote:Almost every thread posted about the S9 and any problem related to it, you and billbolton have posted to defend the reputation of the S9 for some unstated reason.

Really?? I thought it was JUST me. Really.Nord wrote:Very obviously... billbolton is always in charge of the "facts"... just ask him.And again he doesn't point to any "facts"... just his own unsupported assertions that he has the only good opinions; the only good policy and the only good facts.Really?? Very obviously... when billbolton doesn't believe it... then people are just baiting you. Talk about self righteous, self centered, bloated opinion.
Look in the mirror and pinch yourself... nobody takes you as seriously as you take yourself.
Cheers (don't take this the wrong way)
Nord
I third that!! Really??alterego61 wrote: Thanks Bill, it's great that we have you here to protect us from reading someone else's opinion. Not.

Why don't you just lay off Nord and stick to making a positive contribution that will be helpful to others? Obviously I can't speak for others but I suspect that most people are not that interested in what Bill Bolton thinks is good policy,
