I did not mean to chastise you. That was not my intent at all. Maybe I was having a bad day too. I guess I was feeling sympathetic because I was having such a hard time also. I spent a long time trying to figure out how where to download the software and was having trouble myself and almost posted my own request. It seemed like I saw a lot of people wanting to know how to get the software but no specific answer. I looked through many pages, if it was real clear I missed it and that’s my over site. In desperation I went to the very last page and found your post. As I said, I was glad I found your post because it enabled me to find out how to download the software.

I looked back at the post you were replying to and I must say it does seem rather demanding and also gave the impression they may not have made an effort to find the answer themselves.

I have read many, many posts of yours over the last few weeks. You seem to really care about helping people and even though I've used a machine for several years now, I still have learned many things I didn't even know I didn't know from you and some others.

I hope you don't mind me making a suggestion. What about putting all the things you obviously know about software on the first page. Then when someone asks a question you (or someone else) can refer to it. Maybe one sentence: See first page of this board for answers to questions about software - or something like that. If you don't say anything else I think people will get it - I think.

Thank you but this isn't my forum...it's everyone's forum but I do have Pugsy's Pointers Understanding your data which is in the top of the Announcements page. There are actually multiple sections where I have tried to incorporate a lot of my thoughts but my composition skills suck and I tend to ramble and despite my asking people to not post their personal problems in the threads...they did it anyway so the threads got long and winding and not easy for people to sort through. I guess I need to go back and edit and clean up the Pointers collection to simplify reading.

But I ask this question...if someone can't just read a post immediately above their own post in this thread...do you really think they will want to read through my rambling novels?

So how about I post it here ...right now and let's see how many people post below this "where can I get ResScan"...right now I think there are at least 6 threads like this big one with the same questions in it and the same answer in it...available if people will just take the time to read a little bit.

So here it is again...what you have to do to get ResScan if you aren't registered here at this forum. Go here and do what they say you need to do.

ResScan download link is NOT something that is given out publicly. Common sense should tell a person why it is not.
If you are an established forum member send me a private message...otherwise do what it says to do in the link I just provided.

There is the possibility that people are so nervous about finding out they have SA and getting familiar with their machine and mask, that all they can do is ask questions because the words on a page don't make any sense. I was like that when I first started. My mind wasn't comprehending very much at the time and I was ready to throw in the towel on a constant basis. It's now several years later and I'm no longer freaking out - which leaves me time to read and absorb what I read. That could be part of the problem with Uncle Bill and other people.
