the mask i am using that im having upper lip irritation with is fisher&paykel flexifit. also what is a nasal pillow and can i get this anywhere or do i got to call cpap people

You'd be much better off to continue your original thread because people won't remember what else was discussed and won't bother to look for it, but in any case, nasal pillows (and nasal 'cushions' and/or prongs) are simply little pieces of a mask that, instead of covering your whole nose only cover your nostrils (or extend into them very slightly). It's personal preference and whether or not you find those types of masks work for you. They are popular with people who have a hard time with a mask covering a lot of their face and also may attach in such a way that instead of the hose hanging downward, it goes up over your nose and head, though not all do that. Go onto Cpap.com and look under nasal masks (there are a lot!) to find things like the Aeiomed headrest, the Hybrid (made to work like a full face mask if you're a mouth breather), OptiLife, Oracle, many others.
